To reach your sales quota for this year, you must get a large order. You know Ace will buy something; however, you want it to purchase an extra amount. Furthermore, you know it is 120 days overdue on paying for what you shipped months ago, and your company’s credit manager will not ship more merchandise until Ace pays the bill. -How would you handle the sales call? Include in your answer where you would discuss the overdue bill problem in your sales presentation. -Also include what you would do if the buyer said, “I haven’t paid for my last order yet! How can I buy from you today?”

Ace Hardware Chain is the largest customer, he has the capacity to buy the large number of products as he has large customer base and he can sell large products. We have opportunity to seek large order from Ace hardware Chain, as he can manage the large order and he can pay to the organization for the purchase he made for the products.
We want a large order for meeting my yearly sale quota.
The Ace Hardware chain has not paid the amount of his last purchases from the organization.
So we would like to explore below two options for seeking large order
Option -1 : We will ask the customer to pay back the old pending amount and get the large order before year ending, as after next year the prices are going to increase by 5%.
Option -2 : – Ask the Ace Hardware Chain to pay back the pending amount to the company, and based on that company can give him large order on credit, so that he can purchase large products on credit based on payment of last small order. This will motivates the Ace Hardware Chain and he may place order, in the interest of getting large products on credit by paying old small amount.
Option -3 : – We can provide him year ending sale discount scheme provided he pays back the pending amount and place larger order before year ending. This option may motivate the customer to get some benefits for him by exploring the discount scheme.
Answer 2:
This can be managed by providing below option to the customer. We can explain him that though you have not paid for our last order, but you can get extra benefit if you make the deal in this time as below.
Option -1 : Dear Customer, the prices of the products are going to increase by 5% in the next year. Since you are our largest customer, we want to help you and we can provide your large shipment if you pay back the pending amount and place large order. This will help you to generate large revenues.
Option – 2 : Dear Customer, here is the option for you to place large order by paying back 50% of the pending amount, so that you can get large products in your shop for meeting your requirements. The remaining inventory will help you to generate large profit as next year onwards the prices are going to increase by 5%.
