Research Scope, Aim, and ObjectivesIn this thesis, the researcher examined and investigated the ways in which mobile video communication over fifth generation networks could be improved, in terms of efficiency, reliability, cost and energy consumption. By reviewing the present status of hardware and software supporting 5G network, the researcher will build a case of status of 5G deployment. Moreover, the researcher will review the challenges, opportunities of using video in 5G networks. In this thesis, the researcher will assess the use of 5G in wireless networks, and how they allow video streaming. At the same time, the researcher will appraise challenges and opportunities in use of video over 5G networks. In view of the foregoing, the following specific objectives will form the center of the present investigation.• To investigate the benefits of applying fifth generation networks on the mobile video communication model using the Nokia as a case study.• To explore the challenges that abound when using the video communication over the present networks using Nokia as a case study.Research Questions and HypothesisThe research questions were developed based on the research gaps identified in the existing body of literatures. To this end, it was discovered during the preliminary review of literature that there is a limited body of literature regarding the mobile video development in view of the 5G network, and especially as it related to the hardware and software implications, and benefits and demerits of the technological development. Accordingly, the present research questions are related to the research objective stated earlier, and include the following.1.
