ANS: Public is any group who contributes the company to achieve its objectives.
Types of Public are:
1.Financial public: They help the company to raise fund for their business activities.They are the major financial contributors.Examples are bank ,investors,stakeholders etc…
2.Government: Company’s activities should adhere to government rules and regulations. If not followed ,the company may face problems. Examples: product safety, Advertising real products with true features.
3.Citizen action public: Company’s marketing activity can be subject to certain issue that can be raised by any groups like environment or consumer or minority. Public relation department have to be active in solving such issues. Example Use of Product should not affet the environment. If it does environmental groups may raise their concern.
4.Internal publics: These groups involve people working in the company suc as employees , volunteers,directors and wokers. Motivating sessions,newsletters, appraisals and other such means are used to improve efficiency of internal public.
5.General public: Publics response and opinion about the comany’s products and services is very important. Buying behaviour of the consumers are largely influenced by the way company portrays its products to the general public.
6, Local Public: Many companies have involved themselves in CSR( corporate social responsibility). It helps them to create a good image in front of the customer which will help them to increase their sales. They link themselves with many communities there by making them socially responsible entity in the market.
