According to my point of view technology managers should strategize technology projects because without any kind of strategy we cannot to the work and cannot take over the project. If there was no goal in our life we doesn’t what to do and why to do in the same way technology projects also need the strategy. Critical thinking must be needed to set a strategy for an organization in the case of the technology managers they should their work up to mark and give the best decision. Technology became the important criterion in everyday life. Without strategy technology projects will not be arranged in the proper again to arrange them it needs more groundwork. While planning, managers will also plan for the budget to the entire project if there was no strategy it will cross our intended budget and leads to the failure.
During the selection of the project, organizational management should think once or twice because there will be many reasons like offered project need more budget and team to work, it takes more time to complete so that organization doesn’t have any income and another important thing was during the project selection there will be some projects which have very less usage and by taking over those kind of project will not be beneficial to the organization. Project selection plays a key role to recognize whether it will be useful to the organization. In every organization this task should be conducted by the experts because they can recognize the best projects.
One of the main challenges for the organization would be the project selection and prioritize them needs more critical thinking. There are some methods like giving the first priority to the budget while selecting the project because if the budget is not enough to complete the project we cannot fulfill them. Return of investment is another important criterion like, if we invested on the project in return that should give some benefits and profits. During the project risks will be identified but during the selection priority should be given to risks because if the risks are more than a company cannot complete the project more perfectly. Later, priority should be given to team like if the project was selected and the team we had doesn’t have more technical knowledge to complete the project then it will waste the time.
