Fieldwork Research Report
Each student will be required to conduct a fieldwork research project work and submit a brief typewritten report (10 pages double spaced). Project options include the following (or an approved combination/alternative).

interviews on a selected psychological effect or topic with a critical analysis in light of related literature and information.
survey on a selected psychological effect or topic with a critical analysis in light of related literature and information.
creative assessment and intervention project options related to selected psychological effects or topics with a critical analysis in light of related literature and information. These options can be extremely valuable but may require careful planning to keep them manageable in a half course framework. If considering this option please discuss with the professor early in the term.
Note: Whenever people co-operate in data collection, please make every effort to provide them with summary feedback, tactful suggestions, etc. If your report has value or potential in the field, make every effort to get copies in the hands of those that could benefit. It is also strongly recommended that you develop an annotated bibliography or resource list prior to data collection.
Report Guidelines
10 page report should include the following:
identify topic and psychological effect(s) as well as related factors
questions asked, or behaviors observed
summary analysis of data collected included with related literature and information
practical implications and recommendations
bibliography
Note: List of questions asked, behaviors observed, sample data, and annotated bibliography/resource list can be attached as appendix if preferred. Consider people, agencies and audio-visual resources as well as written sources. Consult APA manual to check for appropriate format.
Report Evaluation Criteria – grading rubric
5 points for Clarity and effectiveness or report layout and presentation
5 points for Quality of systematic study
5 points for Analysis of data and related literature/issues
5 points for Practical implications and recommendations
5 points for Bibliography and resources, sources and descriptions– must fulfill APA format.
Note: It is a good idea to keep a copy of any reports or papers submitted.
