Testing and Quality Assurance are the massive part of the SDLC process. A tester needs to be aware of all types of testing even if it’s not directly involved with them on a daily basis.
Since testing is such a broad of scope, they are dedicated testers to perform different kinds of testing. I used a type of white box testing to build test cases for the medical application source code. White box testing is a mechanism where a tester has access to the internal code of the system and executes tests to check the strength of the code. Examples of white box testing are Unit testing, API testing, Integration and Regression testing also extend into this category based on scope. I used Unit Testing which is usually performed by the developer who writes different code units that would call the methods in each unit and validate that when the needed parameters are passed, its return
For Milestone one I created 3 Junit tests for DoctorService feature, and 2 for Allergy find and MedicalRecord feature. All these tests were organized in the same test suite. After reviewing my test cases, all the requirements were not met
requirements, record the outputs for each of them and make sure they are consistent with the expectations. For the MedicalRecord feature the tests created didn’t entail the requirement for medications or treatment was added. To make sure my code was sound, code placement was corrected that prevented my tests from compiling. When the tests were compiled I ran the medicalapplication source code and found 8 errors, which were complier errors in the MedicalServiceRecordTest I created.
