This paper was meant to draw upon the significance of meditation following fieldwork in 2 Buddhist Temples and then relating these to academic viewpoints. However due to the current climate, this fieldwork has now been changed to examining meditation via virtual fieldwork using 2 different sites. I have uploaded a file which lists a number of sites which you can choose from. 2 sites need to be used and the similarities and differences between the literature’s understanding of meditation to those from the websites need to be examined. Uploaded are 3 files, one is the list of websites as mentioned, the second is a full reading list of some of the sources you can use and the third file is an essay which incorporates this question and can be used to the type of paper I require.
Further notes to consider for this paper:-
To obtain insider accounts you should engage in some virtual fieldwork. There are a vast number of Buddhist websites, blogs, You Tube Videos, Social Media Sites available on-line.
You should select two different online sources that represent two distinct forms of Buddhism (e.g. a Theravada site and a Pure Land site).
Compare and contrast the understanding of each site on your chosen topic as well as with the academic literature.
