Self-assurance is the “confidence in one’s own abilities and character”. As leaders, we can build our confidence by increasing our self-awareness regarding our Strengths and Values. That’s an incredibly powerful practice! Which of your Strengths or values do you feel most confident with? Can you share an example of when you used that Strength to accomplish something? Or when you used a value to guide your decision making? What examples in current events do we see that demonstrate this kind of self-assurance?Are there any examples of leaders utilizing their Strengths or using their values to guide their decisions?

The self awareness can improve the confidence as it enables us to under our strength, values, weakness etc. As a leader through conducting the self awareness I have identified my strength and values.
My strength includes good listening skills, communication skills and inter-personal skills. I believe in strong ethical values which I believe to be essential for a good leader and for a sustainable team relationship.
Example 1: During a ego conflict which happened in our team between tow team members my listening and interpersonal skills help me t resolve that issue. I could listen to both of them separately and determine where the problem excited and could easily interact with each other to resolve that issue. Such issues happen in a team frequent and I believe that leaders with strong interpersonal skills can manage it very well.
Example 2: Mr. X was an African American employee in our team and the other team members disliked him. Since I believe in ethics and made them understand how it can impact his performance and the group performance. Believing in these ethical values helped me to coordinate my team effectively.
Mr. P is the CEO of FB who can be considered as a leader with self assurance. He is confident in what he doing. He is aware that his strength strong decision making skills and problem solving skills. He is also aware about what he can do as a CEO to make the organization profitable. He believes in good organizational culture and provides value to the employees who work for the organization. His values and strength has bought good reputation and sustainability for the organization
