In my own view, wealthy nations should in deed help the poorer nations, though it’s not a legal obligation. All countries have resources which if they get support they may utilize those resources and this would result in increased growth of global markets. It can result in better living standards in the poor countries and the economic growth would result in increased investment in those countries when trading activities increases. However, it can also result in wealthy nations being overburdened since those nations also have some challenges which they strive to deal with such as economic recessions. The governments should also play a huge role. The government should stir up economic growth and development in their nations so as to reduce the living standards of the citizens. The greater burden is on the national governments. If individuals cannot help themselves, there’s need for another party to help and this is where the government and wealthier nations should play their part.
