Types of Nursing Associations
Typically a not-for-profit entity existing to serve and represent its members and meet goals based on its specific mission
Some are association-memberships based (federation model) e.g., ICN
Others may be subsidiaries of a parent organization, e.g., AONE, which is a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association
Most are autonomous
