The merger between Amazon and Zappos will be very beneficial for both the companies. The Amazon presence in apparel and shoe segment will increase greatly whereas Zappos can take advantage of world class supply chain systems and processes of Amazon which will help to provide even superior service to customer. Thus, it looks win-win proposal if thing go as planned. The challenge will be difference in culture between the two companies. The Zappos believe in customers to be heart and delivery best possible service. Hence, they have system to ship the products free, order as many quantity as customer want, encourages customer call etc. This needs to be understood by Amazon for having long term relation. Also, the staff of Zappos have values on similar line and company offers huge care for them through various things like free lunch, health insurance etc.
Thus, both companies should continue to work with their values and culture intact to avoid business disruptions
