Differential Diagnosis for Fever

Students are asked to submit three diagnoses (2 common and 1 uncommon) for the chief complaint of a fever. The common diagnosis should be one for a child under the age of 5 and the other diagnosis should be over a diagnosis that is seen in an older child. Both diagnoses must include ICD-10 codes, brief description of the disease and its pathological processes, and treatment plan, including labs, imaging, medication, education, etc.

PERT charts can be formatted in many ways, but please refer to the example in Figure 3.4 on page 70 of the textbook for the cells with 7 divisions.
