Essay about personal health | Nursing homework help

Instruction:
 Please CHOOSE ONE of the two prompt options provided below, and write a 2-3
page (double spaced) narrative response. Be sure to address every point within the
prompt of your choice.
 Submit completed assignment via Canvas Assignments, as DOC, DOCX, PDF, or
RTF file attachments.
Prompts:
Option #1: Recommended after Lecture 6
Suppose that the Butler County School District wants to hire you to create and
implement a health promotion program. Specifically, they would like to have a
health education program (like D.A.R.E.) that will teach students about
dangers of illegal drug use, so that students who currently use them would
learn to stop.
a) What are the steps you’re likely to take to create and implement such
program? (HINT: see five steps of the Generalized Model)
b) What would you do (or not do), if your needs assessment data shows that
the school district has very little problem with drug use, but has very big
problem with sexually transmitted disease?
c) For now, let’s assume that drug use is a big concern for the school district,
and you’ve created a health education program about illegal drug use, as
requested. Before full implementation, you’ve conducted a pilot test for 20
students to see if your program is effective. Pilot test showed that your
education program is ineffective at changing students who already use
drugs. Worse, it looks like some students that never used drug before are
now showing signs that they want to try those drugs you mentioned in the
program. What would you do (or not do)?
Option #2: Recommended after Lecture 7
Behavior change is difficult – just think about how many people make New
Year’s resolution, and how many people fail at it. Understanding the
relationship between behavior and behavioral determinant can help us assess
our own behavior, and perhaps have us succeed with our New Year’s
resolution.
a) Think of one behavior that you want to change by the end of this year.
What is the behavior? (This should be your own behavior; this may or may
not be related to health, but make sure that it is something that can be
measured and/or observed)
b) What would be one determinant related to that behavior (i.e., what is
something that causes and/or influences this behavior)?
c) Would you try to affect the behavior, or the determinant? Why?
d) Let’s suppose that there are thousands of people just like you, and they all
want to change this behavior. What do you think is the most effective way
to help everyone change this behavior? (Perhaps coming up with a law?
Education program?)

After completing this week’s readings, access the link below and read the article.
While your text touches on the topic of teachers’ professional cycles, also review the article by Aminah Paden. As you read this article, consider the following points:
Reflect on how you might adjust your conference after you have done an observation in a teacher’s classroom, depending on where you believe the professional life cycle of the individual teacher might fall. For example, how would your conversation be different with a novice teacher as opposed to a distinguished teacher?
How might this information be critical as you work with your teachers?
Your initial response is due by 11:55 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday and should be between 200-250 words. The initial posting should be a statement of your point of view on the question, supported by the required readings.

Interest Rates and Bond Valuation Case Worksheet

Name _______________
Assignment: Interest Rates and Bond Valuation Case
 Worksheet

Read the closing case “Financing East Coast Yachts’ Expansion Plans with a Bond Issue” in chapter 5 (see below) of textbook “Corporate finance: Core principles & applications. (4th ed.) by Ross, S., Westerfield, R., Jaffe, J., and Jordan, B. (2014), and answer the four questions posed on this sheet.

1.      You have been asked to prepare a memo describing the effects and advantages or disadvantages of each of the following bond features on the coupon rate of a 20-year bond:

        a.     The security or collateral provided with the bond

        b.     The seniority of the bond

        c.     A sinking fund provision

        d.    A call provision

        e.     Any positive covenants

        f.     Any negative covenants

g.     A conversion feature

h.     A floating rate coupon

The firm is also considering whether to issue coupon-bearing bonds or zero coupon bonds. The YTM in either case is expected to be 5.5% per annum. The coupon bond would have a 5.5% per annum coupon payable semiannually. The company’s tax rate is 35%.

2. How many of the coupon bonds must East Coast Yachts issue to raise the $40,000,000? How many of the zeroes must it issue?

3. In 20 years what will be the principal repayment due if East Coast Yachts issues the coupon bonds? If it issues the zeroes?

4. After considering all the relevant factors, what would you recommend the firm do?

East Coast Yacht Case:

CLOSING CASE
FINANCING EAST COAST YACHTS’ EXPANSION PLANS WITH A BOND ISSUE
After Dan’s EFN analysis for East Coast Yachts, Larissa has decided to expand the company’s operations. She has asked Dan to enlist an underwriter to help sell $45 million in new 30-year bonds to finance new construction. Dan has entered into discussions with Renata Harper, an underwriter from the firm of Crowe & Mallard, about which bond features East Coast Yachts should consider and also what coupon rate the issue will likely have. Although Dan is aware of bond features, he is uncertain as to the costs and benefits of some of them, so he isn’t clear on how each feature would affect the coupon rate of the bond issue.

You are Renata’s assistant, and she has asked you to prepare a memo to Dan describing the effect of each of the following bond features on the coupon rate of the bond. She would also like you to list any advantages or disadvantages of each feature.

The security of the bond, that is, whether or not the bond has collateral.
The seniority of the bond.
The presence of a sinking fund.
A call provision with specified call dates and call prices.
A deferred call accompanying the above call provision.
A make-whole call provision.
Any positive covenants. Also, discuss several possible positive covenants East Coast Yachts might consider.
Any negative covenants. Also, discuss several possible negative covenants East Coast Yachts might consider.
A conversion feature (note that East Coast Yachts is not a publicly traded company).
A floating rate coupon.

Dan is also considering whether to issue coupon-bearing bonds or zero coupon bonds. The YTM on either bond issue will be 5.5 percent. The coupon bond would have a 5.5 percent coupon rate. The company’s tax rate is 35 percent.

How many of the coupon bonds must East Coast Yachts issue to raise the $45 million? How many of the zeroes must it issue?
In 30 years, what will be the principal repayment due if East Coast Yachts issues the coupon bonds? What if it issues the zeroes?
What are the company’s considerations in issuing a coupon bond compared to a zero coupon bond?
Suppose East Coast Yachts issues the coupon bonds with a make-whole call provision. The make-whole rcall rate is the Treasury rate plus .40 percent. If East Coast calls the bonds in seven years when the Treasury rate is 4.8 percent, what is the call price of the bond? What if it is 6.2 percent?
Are investors really made whole with a makre-whole call provision?
After considering all the relevant factors, would you recommend a zero coupon issue or a regular coupon issue? Why? Would you recommend an ordinary call feature or a make-whole call feature? Why?

Analyze the perspectives of two members of the multidisciplinary team

Analyze the perspectives of two members of the multidisciplinary team

A comprehensive understanding of a client’s presenting problems depends on the use of multiple types of assessment models. Each model gathers different information based on theoretical perspective and intent. An assessment that focuses on one area alone not only misses vital information that may be helpful in planning an intervention, but may encourage a biased evaluation that could potentially lead you to an inappropriate intervention. When gathering and reviewing a client’s history, sometimes it is easier to focus on the problems and not the positive attributes of the client. In social work, the use of a strengths perspective requires that a client’s strengths, assets, and resources must be identified and utilized. Further, using an empowerment approach in conjunction with a strengths perspective guides the practitioner to work with the client to identify shared goals. You will be asked to consider these approaches and critically analyze the multidisciplinary team’s response to the program case study of Paula Cortez.

For this Assignment, review the program case study of the Cortez family.

By Day 7
In a 2- to 4-page paper, complete a comprehensive assessment of Paula Cortez, utilizing two of the assessment models provided in Chapter 5 of the course text.

Using the Cowger article, identify at least two areas of strengths in Paula’s case.
Analyze the perspectives of two members of the multidisciplinary team, particularly relative to Paula’s pregnancy.
Explain which model the social workers appear to be using to make their assessment.
Describe the potential for bias when choosing an assessment model and completing an evaluation.
Suggest strategies you, as Paula’s social worker, might try to avoid these biases.
