For this assignment you need to choose an environmental policy or program that has been enacted which you will evaluate. You can choose a local, state, national, or international environmental policy/program. Once you have chosen your policy/program then you need to research that policy/program. Your paper should include background on when/how/why the policy/program was enacted in the first place (including the problem it is supposed to addresses and the politics involved with how/why it was enacted) and whether the policy/program has been effective in achieving its stated objective. The environmental policy/program has to be still in operation today. What grade would you give the policy/program (on an A-F scale) in terms of achieving its stated objective and why? Lastly, assuming the policy/program isn’t perfect (with an A+ grade), what should be done for it to become more effective. In order to answer these questions seek both supporters and detractors of the policy/program.
Length: The paper should be at least 5 pages and no longer than 7 pages in length
Formatting: Double space, 12 point font, 1 inch margins. Documents should include in-text citations with footnotes at the bottom of each page that include links to sources. You should have multiple references throughout your documents.
