( 7.5 points ) (4) Everything else being equal, is there a benefit if we can shift 1 minute from Condiments to Bagging? ( 7.5 points).

The capacity per hour for each activity is:
Take the order = 480/1 = 480 units
Slice the Bun and add meat = 480/3 = 160 units
Add Toppings and Condiments = 480/4 = 120 units
Bag the order = 480/2 = 240 units
1) The capacity of the process will be capacity of bottleneck process, which is the one with lowest output. In this case, it is Add Toppings and Condiments = 120 units
2) If we want to add, it should be added to Bottleneck process. The Ordering time for order will reduce to half, which is 2 minute per order. So, Capacity will be 480/2 = 240 units. The new bottleneck process will be Slice the Bun and process capacity will increase to 160 units
3) There is no advantage of adding one minute from Slice the Bun to Take the order as it is not the Bottleneck process and will not impact the process capacity
4) Yes, it will have benefit as the Order time will reduce to 3 minutes and for Bag the order will also be 3 minute. The capacity will change to 160 minutes. Thus, it will improve overall process output to 160 units
