Did you know that the papayas you eat result from genetically engineered papaya that is resistant to a virus (papaya ringspot virus) that had previously devastated papaya crops in Hawaii? Do you eat papaya? Anti-GMO activists misinform the public. Even scientific reports (2002 Dutch report) are absolutely wrong (for example virus infected papayas actually contain more viral protein than the transgenic papayas and no one was getting sick even when they were eating infected plants) etc. There are even racial slurs made such as that if your skin is darker, GMOs are especially dangerous.
