The colours of Judaism in Italy were an exhibition in Uffizi Gallery. The show was significantly funded by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. The exhibition showcases the history of Italy’s Jewish society from the art galleries. Italy’s communities through the interactions with communities they lived with managed to borrow cultural practices and artistic expressions. Textiles from places such as Livorno, Pisa and Genoa showcases the influence that the Near East had.
The exhibition is divide into four particular sections exploring the various aspects of the Jewish culture and their affections for fabrics and textiles that were significant to both the religious and secular use. This included fashion and business in the 20th Century. The concept of the exhibition was t was to embrace and cherish a broad social as well as the cultural context whereby the art and history are interwoven in the waft and the weft for purposes of the exhibition (Jewish Website, 2019). The success of the fabrics will were showcased in a wide display and illustration of about eight categories that start with the days of the High Priest Aaron and goes to the fashions of the 20ty Century. The exhibition showcases the contemporary textile merchandise of the Synagogues. Among these features as well was the fabrics that were traced back to the 15th  Century is the curtain of the sacred wardrobe that came from the Jewish Museum located in Rome while another was extracted from the Synagogue of Pisa and the Cloth of the Parato della Badia Fiorentina that initially mapped all the walls of the church. The exhibition will however look into the importance that fabrics have as a social statement from the Wealthy Jewish. The exhibition come to a close with a complete masterpiece. This is an eight-meter long lace that was designed well by Lele Luzzati for the Oceanic transatlantic. The lace is a collection of the old and modern pieces that forms the glories and the illustrations of the Commedia dell’Arte Italian and blends with the old age craftsmanship with the amazing expression(Nitti,2019).As desire by the Director of the Uffizi Galleries of Florence, the review of the themes that had never been seen before.
