The Standish Group recently surveyed 400 organizations on IT project success and failure rates.
32% – Considered successful (completed on time, on budget and with promised features and functionality)
24% – Considered failures (cancelled or delivered but not used as intended)
44% – Considered challenged (delivered late, over budget, or with less than promised features and functionality).
Search the Internet for examples of real world project failures. Summarize the reasons for failure and opinion what could have been done to make the project successful.
