In a workplace, what challenges might be a factor of being a Baby Boomer, Gen-Xer, or Millennial compared to which might simply be universal experiences shared by younger compared to older employees?

Different generations of the US have different viewpoints, attitudes, priorities and aspirations vastly depending upon the time they were born and the circumstances under which they were brought up. Baby boomers were born in best of conditions, where they enjoyed best government aids, education, oppotunities to earn and prosper. They were the witness of the building of new America and rising consumerism. The Gen X people grew under lesser supervision and among deteriorating family values and are described as active, conscious, happy and ambitious. They are more independent, self managing and resourceful than their previous generations. Millenials are born in a technological age, and are confident, career oriented and socially connected. They are an energetic lot, seeking more out of their lives.
In a workplace the three generations have different approaches towards the work. While Baby boomers, who are probably on the brink of retirement may find themselves less energetic in comparison to the new generations, they must have a wealth of experiences to share and a strong value system to set an example before others. Gen X are emotionally stable, slow but steady and task oriented people, linking conventions with the contemporary revolutionary world of social media, gadgets and globalization. Millenials are on the other end, exuding energy and making the world a global village through technological tools and brimming with ambitions, waiting to unearth the novelty. Together at workplace they are compliment to on another, making entire unit a mix of experience, energy, innovation and maturity.
These linking generations make the workplace more interactive than a typical older – younger generation employees that find the huge gaps between them impossible to fill and one generation is often alien to the ideas and viewpoints of the other, finding many links missing, and this situation often leading to conflict. Usually,it is not the case with all three generations present and making the change gradual, not abrupt.
