Select one (1) of the following topics for your required critical thinking essay. The purpose of this assignment is to help you develop “Information Literacy”; that is, to be able to filter false or poorly designed research into empirically sound information. Please go to https://guides.lib.jjay.cuny.edu/c.php?g=288333&p=1922550  This site has excellent resources to help you understand how to evaluate information sources and what exactly peer-reviewed articles are.  Using various myths that persist across the various domains of psychology, you will first (using peer-reviewed articles) discuss the origins of the myth, the valid research regarding the topic, and provide a logical conclusion as to the validity of the myth.  For each topic at least one peer-reviewed reference is provided for you, which you may use as a starting point for your database research. A rubric will be provided.
