Select one (1) of the following topics for your required critical thinking essay. The purpose of this assignment is to help you develop “Information Literacy”; that is, to be able to filter false or poorly designed research into empirically sound information. Using various myths that persist across the various domains of psychology, you will first (using peer-reviewed articles) discuss the origins of the myth, the valid research regarding the topic, and provide a logical conclusion as to the validity of the myth. For each topic at least one peer-reviewed reference is provided for you, which you may use as a starting point for your database research. A rubric will be provided.
