Instructions:

What you will be writing is basically a review paper; and if it has something to do with applied behavior analysis, it is ‘fair game’.Generally, you can find review papers in almost any of the relevant journals; any these would provide an excellent example of how to organize the paper, and what to include.Here are some guidelines or tips about writing a review paper:Review papers usually go over the articles and books relevant to a topic that you are REALLY interested in. This can be research regarding a particular kind of behavior; individuals with a particular diagnosis (e.g., autism, Down’s syndrome, etc.); a setting, such as in the home, in community settings, in school, etc.; or a type of behavioral intervention.

Organizing a review paper

The basic organization for a review article can be found in the APA Publication Manual, 6th Ed., (2010) pp.10-11. There are several excellent guides online for how to organize a review paper in APA format. For example, the following is a guide for writing a graduate level review paper: https://people.trentu.ca/~nicholasjones/Writing a Review Paper.pdfPreview the document

Many other sources are available online, and all should cover similar guidelines, and may include examples. Another great source for how to write a review article would be to look up a topic in a behavioral journal and read any of the review articles in the journal.

Analytic Paper Directions:
Pick a topic that strikes you the most from the readings assigned in the course.
The topics include but are not limited to (1) the differences between other schools of behaviorism and radical behaviorism; (2) methods of behavior analysis; (3) the application of the science of behavior analysis our daily behavior.
Find a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed journal articles related to the topic.

A few final APA format reminders:
You should have a title page, with the title of your paper centered;
Followed on the next line by your name;
On the line below that you should indicate the name of the course (SPED 5890, Fall1)
Make sure to number all of your pages, including reference page(s).
