Discuss gender relationships in light of women’s empowerment.
Do men lose their power when women are empowered? Why is there so much emphasis on empowering women?
Does financial independence for women always empower them? If yes, how and why? If not, how and why not?
Using examples from Chapter 9 of the textbook, reflect on why the Intervention with Microfinance for AIDS and Gender Equity (IMAGE), was more successful in empowering women compared to other approaches to women’s empowerment.
