About the Reflection Assignments Information
Throughout your nursing capstone course, you will submit four reflection assignments. In these assignments, you will reflect on and demonstrate your accomplishment at meeting University’s program outcomes and AACN Essentials for Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice. The reflection assignments will highlight selected essentials and learning outcomes from your nursing program. This will be your opportunity to review your past academic work, evaluate your effectiveness at meeting program essentials, and ponder the impact that this proficiency will have on your future.
Throughout the course, you will be asked to refer to and submit examples of your past work. You will refer to specific courses and assignments as you reflect on your academic and professional evolution throughout the nursing program.
NOTE: To prepare for the reflection assignments, begin gathering examples of your completed course work: final papers, essays, discussion posts, and presentations. Make corrections as needed so that you have exemplary academic work to reference and showcase.
Next, review and familiarize yourself with the University program outcomes and AACN Essentials for Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice. You will be speaking to these outcomes and essentials specifically in your reflections.

This week reflect up your personal nursing philosophy as it has evolved over the course of your RN-BSN program at WCU. Identify specific theorists you feel you most identify with. How does your personal nursing philosophy, and the work you completed in your program support evidence of meeting the following?
Essential IX: Baccalaureate Generalist Nursing Practice
· Outcome #18: Develop an awareness of patients as well as healthcare professionals’ spiritual beliefs and values and how those beliefs and values impact health care.
