One of the biggest challenges with digital analytics is terminology. Since the naming conventions within Google Analytics are unique to the platform, there is often confusion with the proper name, like “sessions,” and what kind of metric that represents. List 10 key words from Google Analytics and describe each one in common language in 2-3 sentences.

1.Page views- in Google analytics means the number of times a page is visited in which the Google analytics tracking code is inserted. Even if a viewer skips the page and renters or if he navigates from the page and comes back that is also counted as a new visitor.
2.Visits otherwise called as sessions is the time period a visitors stay on a website or in other word uses the site.
3.Unique visitors -When a visitors visits a site for the first time then he is recorded for both new visitor and unique visitor. From the second time onwards he is recorded only as a new visitor.
4.Unique page view is the number of times the page is visited in an individual session.
5.New visitors are those who have not visited the site before the given Time period ends.
6.Returning visitors are those who have at least once visited the website previously.
7.Segments analyse or help to analyse a particular information or data that is needed.For example if you need the data only of new visitors then it can be done through segments.
8.Landing page shows how the visitor has landed into the particular site.Or what is the source of the visitor for this site.
9.Visitors flow shows how the visitor moves inside a website from the entry to the exit.
10.Direct traffic is when the visitor directly lots into the site through the url.
