For this assignment, you are to select an article from a peer-reviewed nursing journal about a patient safety issue or error that impacted patient care or resulted in a sentinel event. The patient safety issue can be something that you have read about, have concerns about, or even something that you have experienced in your practice. Your paper should include a detailed explanation about the safety issue and determine if there is currentresearch being done in this area. Considerinitiatives that could be put into place to correct or prevent future issues. What discipline should take the lead in addressing the safety issue?

– Identify2 or 3 interventions needed to prevent repetition and is reflective of critical thinking and solid understanding of the issue. Discuss precautions and related to practice setting.
– Identify and provide a detailed reason for selection of key discipline to prevent repetition
– Provide basic yet clear summary of literature
– Include at least two references in addition to the article
– Summary of interventions to address or prevent the issue. Identify if future research is needed, and if so provide ideas
– APA format. Please include running header and title page. You can name the paper safety paper if you want, or if you find a more fitting title that works
– Paper should be at least 4 pages. This does not include the title or reference page
