Present a proposal for a project that you would like to be the project leader of (a real project or a conceptualized one) and describe how you would organize a project team. We wish to organize “20TH ANNIVERSARY FEST OF OUR COLLGE”, which is one of the premiur institution in our area. For this, we divided total work into different parts like:
Schedule date conducting college day
cultural and other related activities on that day
food and snacks to the people
parking and disciplinary activities
closure of the anniversary day
all these are divided broadly, again each work includes some sub-works. Once the tentative date is fixed, next we prepare an invitation, list the guets and send them an invitiation by proper channel. The invitation includes the speciality of the day briefly, the programs going to be presented, their time schedules, lunch/dinner time, breaks and disappered from the party.
Each activity will be assign to one person, who have a team of people to support him. The team will be selected by the respective person, and he needs to deliver whatever they promised by the time. Usually we select people based on their prior experience in the area, leadership and initiation skills, problem solving skills, decision making spontaneously, interacting with all the work for progress and so on.
There wont be much and tough problems raise in the process. One of the common problem is, does the guests arrive in the right time, do they provided all the requirements, how the receving process, is it started as per time and schedue, issues at parking, closing etc. These problems can be resolved with proper planning and scheduling by the activities. Even if some issues raised, they must resolve spontaneously, but we should ready to face any of these issues without fear.
