Note on the project scenario: The goal of this project is not for students to become experts on the technical details of nuclear detonation within the United States. The scenario was chosen because of the complexity and requirement for coordination between Federal, state and local responders. The goal of the project is for students to gain an understanding of the complexity of a large scale incident response and the roles and responsibilities of the various responders that would deploy in support of the response / recovery effort.
