Over the course of the semester, you have had to read about various health professions in the Stanfield’s Intro to Health Professions book. This reading was designed to increase your professional competency, giving you a sense of the types of health professionals you might work with in the health system.
In a 500-750 word essay:
Identify two health professions (from the Stanfield’s text) for each prevention level (6 total) and explain how each participates in the corresponding prevention level.
For example, if you choose genetic counselors, explain how they participate in primary prevention as part of their job.
Hint: look at learning materials lists in modules…the professions are organized by prevention level for you. (Tertiary Prevention Careers) (Secondary/Primary Prevention Careers)
Discuss how each of the professions you have identified might work with a health systems management professional.
As this assignment asks you to consider learning materials in your response, your essay should include in-text citations as well as references for any materials you consult in developing your response (MLA or APA). If you don’t understand why this is necessary, go back and review the Academic Integrity section under Course Policies. Essays have introductions and conclusions. Your essay should have both. It should also have a main idea.
