Test Analysis
Conduct a t test using the data provided in the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet from the Riverbend City multimedia/DATASET HOMELESS TEEN PROGRAM (((SEE ATTACHMENT))). Describe your analysis and present the results ALONG WITH SPREADSHEET.
Learning Components
This activity will help you achieve the following learning components:
Describe different types of statistical analyses.
Explain when to conduct a specific type of statistical analysis.
EXAMPLE FROM ANOTHER LEARNER:
I Preformed several two tailed t= test on the data that I extracted from the data giving to me by the Riverbend City for the Community Action Center to help determine if the Helping Hands Organization will give them a grant for their family treatment program, I began by conduction paired t – test to identify any correlations between the data that I extracted from the spread sheet to help identify data that can help the Riverbend City to help determine if their family treatment program was beneficial. The first paired t -test was gender and race, with the standard significance range being 0.5 and the results of the P(T<=t) two-tail 8.0985E-06 which shows a high value that gender and race is consistent with each other, in this paired t -test the null hypothesis would fail to reject the null hypothesis because the p -values shows a significance relations between gender and race. The paired t -test between gender and orientation P(T<=t) two-tail 0.17223571 again we would fail to reject the null hypothesis because there is significance relation between gender and orientation The results from the two tiled t- test shows significance relations between orientation and problem, P(T<=t) two-tail 6.84555E-31 we would fail to reject the null hypothesis that there is no difference between orientation and problem. With a two tailed test performed between problems and services P(T<=t) two-tail 0.447924825 we would reject the null hypothesis because the range being 0.5 and the results from the two tailed t -test is 0.447924825 shows strong evidence against the null hypothesis. The results from a two tailed t -test with services provided and housing showed a result of P(T<=t) one-tail 3.28889E-33 which we would fail to reject the null hypothesis. Using the two tail t -test I paired housing and pre family counseling and the results indicated P (T<=t) two-tail 5.81432E-13 that we need to fail to reject the null hypothesis. Now by using the two tailed t- test I paired pre family counseling and post family counseling and the results P(T<=t) one-tail 0.11821961 that we would need to reject the null hypothesis
Failing to reject the null hypothesis indicates that there is not enough evidence to provide by the alternative hypothesis, when we reject the data favors the alternative hypothesis. The alternative hypothesis state that An alternative hypothesis is one that states there is a statistically significant relationship between two variables.
