Arguably, the end of the Medieval Era and the beginning of the Renaissance begins in AD 1453. This is an important year because of the fall of Constantinople from the Roman Empire to the Ottoman Empire, the invention of the printing press by Johannes Gutenberg, and the end of the Hundred Years’ War between the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of France. What makes these events so important? How do your sources show their importance? What were the events which led to these events in AD 1453? How do these events relate to one another?
