Points: 75 Due: Day 7 Directions Facilitator This week you will be outlining a research article and learning about sampling issues. Select the same articles your group used in Week 2. Using the sampling information provided in the media and from your readings, compare and contrast the sampling plans from the four articles chosen. Use Chapters 4, 5, and 6 in Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing & Healthcare, Chapters 8 and 9 in Writing Literature Reviews, and the Analyzing Research Article Guide (Links to an external site.) to analyze the article your group chose. Create an outline of the selected article. Be succinct, but clearly identify the researchers’ ideas. You may add sub-points to this outline format. Short summary paragraphs may also be added. On a separate page create a short document using the following chart on sampling. First introduce your chart and the contents of it in a narrative paragraph. Fill out each aspect of the chart to identify type of sampling plan, effectiveness, areas of concern and plan for improvement. Conclude with a comparison and contrast of the sampling used in the articles reviewed in a narrative paragraph. Make a case for which ones could be replicated with confidence and or which ones need revision. Your goal here is identification, evaluation, application and critical analysis. You will be submitting a document with 2–3 pages about sampling and an outline of one research article with bullets and brief narration points. About 1 page in length. Total pages 3–4 pages.
