You are the owner of a business consulting firm that advises clients on the use of technology to support businesses (large and small) who have had to close their doors and allow their employees to work from home. Some of your clients are steeped in advanced technologies and consider themselves innovators while others have not made investments in technology a priority. It is the businesses who have not made prior investments in technology that make up the majority of your client base. Many of these “low technology investment” businesses are complaining that you are not being responsive to their technology infrastructure needs.
As a result of this type of feedback from multiple clients, you decide to draft a communication in response. In this draft, in order for it to be effective, you need to cover the following points:
In general, the type of technology that requires investment (e.g., hardware, software).
Business process reevaluation and transformation based on current conditions and an uncertain future.
A set of recommendations from you as to what technology vehicles are available to help them meet their business goals while social distancing measures continue to be enforced.
What information and resources you need from them to help them get their business operations jump started.
