A. Metaphysics/Physics1. Provide a detailed discussion of Aristotle’s account of change. Your response should include a discussion of the form/matter distinction and the potentiality/actuality distinction. How does Aristotle uses his analysis of change to deduce the nature of God? Is Aristotle’s account of the existence and nature of God plausible? Why or why not? B. Psychology1. What is Aristotle’s general characterization of a soul? Is the soul separable from the body? Why or why not? Aristotle also identifies the soul as having individual capacities or faculties. Briefly discuss these faculties and explain how Aristotle uses them to argue against the immortality of the soul. 3. Does Aristotle agree with Socrates that all wrongdoing is involuntary? Are we responsible for wrongdoing done in ignorance? Why or why not? Your response should clearly distinguish the views of Aristotle from the views of Socrates, include a discussion of the 4 kinds of actions, and explain the difference between choice and wish.
