Competency-based job analysis stands for relating the job which is observable, measurable and has behavioral aspects which an employee should show by exhibiting knowledge, behavior and skills, while performing the job. This is more worker-focused to perform multiskilled tasks by an employee.
Employee compensation contains all types of pay intended for employees, having direct financial payments such as bonuses, commissions, incentives, salaries, wages whereas indirect financial payments such as employer-paid vacations and insurance. The direct financial payments are done on the basis of increment by time and performance of the employee. For example, clerical employee may get on the hourly basis whereas technical engineer get salary monthly. The other option could be pay for business performance, for example, sales teams may get sales commissions separately etc. Other factors to be considered are organizational strategy and policies along with union, legal and equity.
