When you think about all of the assessments that are used in the entire staffing process, which ones are the most effective at helping find the right candidates? What are some of the assessment that you would like to avoid and why?

Some of the most effective assessments in the staffing process are:
Interview based on industry specific skills: This is the best way to filter the best candidates for your project as the result of this interview gives a clear idea about the knowledge of industry that the candidate has and also it shows that how much time would it take for the candidate to understand the process and hit the floor running.
Attitude test: This is again an indication of how well the candidate is ready to adapt to the environment of the company and this is very essential to know as it might trouble the culture of industry. This also shows that how positively the candidate accepts the negative feedback given to him / her.
Job matching screening in which it is judged that would the candidate be able to fit in our organization or not, the candidate may be intelligent and have all the abilities required for the job but still it is essential to know that is he a perfect fit for the company in the long run or not.
Some of the assessments that I would like to avoid are:
Drug screening test as it is not essential for job role so this can be avoided as it consumes time and resources of the organization.
Criminal background can be done or not depending upon the suspicious level and if the person is experienced and has already worked on some other company then it can be assumed that criminal background has already been verified.
