Based on a review of current research on learning and development (L&D), write about 3 new practices or trends and 2 emerging roles taken by L&D as seen in the literature (this means you need to use articles as references, you can use google to search for articles and reference them properly please). Also talk about

Use a CIPD profession map which describes the standards of professional competence for people working in HR and L&D.

Identify THREE examples for knowledge, THREE examples for skills, and THREE examples for behaviors that are required by an L&D professional in the workplace no matter what his role is. Explain why EACH one is important.

Please use references for everything.

Activity 2 (around 1200 words)

FYI: The student is a learning and development team leader in an oil and gas company in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

Format: Intro, body, conclusion

Choose a project you led (maybe something to do with teamwork, learning, something)

Explain how you applied project and self-management techniques during the course of the project.

Also provide evidence of the project, such as a Gantt chart for the project + a PDCA + anything else you can use.

Explain how you used techniques to analyze and resolve problems faced during the project. Explain the different methods used to influence, persuade, and negotiate with others. (use models to explain this).

Please use references for everything.

Activity 3 (around 400 words)

A short factsheet for managers. You can use subtitles within this. Remember it is a fact sheet, like sort of a memo thing, you can google (fact sheet for managers) and look at some samples.

Fact sheet may include the subtitles (you can change them if you want, but refer to the question to know what to write):

– What is group dynamics?

– The importance of group dynamics?

– Political behaviors in organizations.

– How political behavior impacts the achievement of organization objectives and L&D objectives

Something of that sort. Keep it clear and to the point.

Evidence 2 (around 600 words)

Format: Intro, body, conclusion

The question asks to explain key areas you in which you want to develop and why you chose them.

Areas to develop:

  1. Tools and techniques to show the business benefits of learning interventions (eg, Return on Investment analysis).
  2. Designing learning programs and initiatives, working with colleagues or third party suppliers as required.
  3. Managing third party suppliers in terms of quality and performance.

Reasoning:

All of the above highlighted in green are selected to develop myself into a more competent professional to support the organization through my performance to achieve its goals, while also reaching higher positions and developing my career.
