The special needs population: The population which is having some physical or mental disability and they are not common people in the community are known as special need population in the community. These are the population which needs special support from the people for their needs.
Following are the special needs population in the community as below
Visually Handicapped people : These are the people who are not able to see. Thus for their disaster plan, we need to have special arrangement for such people management. We need to have a process for managing the visually handicapped people during the disaster management.
Inability of Hear : These are the people who are not able to hear. They can see, talk , but cannot hear. Such people are known as inable in hearing. For such people, we need to have special process to make these people aware that the disaster has happened and they need to move to the muster point to avoid any issue. We need to have special hearing process for these community people.
Inability of speak : These are the people, who are not able to speak. They can see, hear , but cannot talk. Such people are known as inable in speaking/talking. For such people, we need to have special process to make these people management in the disaster plan. They can follow the normal disaster plan, but will not be able to communicate their issues. So we need to have special communication process for them.
Inability of walk : these are the people who are not able to walk. They need special arrangement of their carrier for the disaster management process.
Lack of mental concentration : These are the people who has mental problems and their mental concentration is not appropriate. They cannot take normal decisions. Thus we need a special process of managing such people during the disaster.
Since all these special needs people are having unique problem, the unique processes are needed for their management during the disaster plan.
