Weight: 30% Task: Students prepare a preliminary business plan and develop appropriate materials to pitch an idea to industry stakeholders in a presentation. As a group, they present an innovative solution to the chosen social innovation challenge in the form of a business proposal with reference to the partner’s brief and explain the contribution that various methods learned through the semester had on the evolution of the proposal. A 10-minute team presentation, as a group, ‘pitching’ your proposal to the client (video recording) A written submission (in final assessment week) explaining the creative idea addressing the chosen problem, and clearly indicating: how it addresses the client brief; the role different methods played including what questions they provoked and/or new directions they inspired; how feedback was addressed and impacted on the final proposal; and future directions/possibilities. The report needs to be submitted as an electronic document (.zip file) on UTS Online. Each group member must contribute to each component, individual and team marks will be allocated based on self and peer review. Length: A 10-min group presentation (video) and a written report of 3000 words. Due: Presentation in final class (Week 11: 2nd June – 5th June) and Final Report to be submitted on UTS Online during Final Assessment period. Pitch video for client to be submitted to Bhuva (and copy your tutor) before 20th June 2020. Final report to be submitted as a zip file (include any and all materials) on UTS Online Dropbox before 26th June 2020. Complete SPARKPLus Peer Review of your groupmates before 30th June 2020 (link will be sent to you on 27th June). Marking Criteria: Evidence of responding to feedback from users, peers, teachers, and partners (10%) Evidence of original, industry and scholarly research to create a plausible, well considered proposal (20%) Clarity and originality of written proposal demonstrating clear, succinct, professional communications (10%) Quality of presentation – clear, succinct, professional communications, supported by effective audio-visual material (20%) Evidence of individual effort within group (40%)
