Cancer-Due to high cost for treatment, state needs to look at the cancer records for cost burden on state
Birth defects-different birth defects are reported to have information on root cause of these defects so that preventive actions can be taken to stop these defects early on.
Substance Abuse-For border state, substance abuse data is collected among students along with demographics.
Healthcare information system
Digitized Healthcare information system keep records of person history of diseases, past prescriptions and immunization data. These records shared with multiple health providers will help doctors in better diagnosis, less error and lower medical costs. This system can be operated with automated insurance systems and would help patient to stay away from the hassle of Insurance claim.
With healthcare information system data collection becomes more centralized and can be analysed properly. For example, from data records it can be analyzed that people who have regular high blood pressure may suffer from cardiovascular diseases.
This system can be further made proactive and may warn person to take more care in case his blood pressure data is high most of the time.
This would be primary data. Though not collected in person but the data would be updated on real time basis, would be highly accurate but in crude form. Though not for any specific need, this data can be used by researchers for different needs.
