4 distinctive characteristics of services are Intangibility, Inseparability, Variability, Perishability.
As a buyer when buying a service say for example booking a room in a hotel, Intangibility is the one characterstic which worries me alot because nowadays rooms are booked online where various fancy photos are shown without the guarantee that the same thing will be delivered to the customer.
