Solve the linear programming: maximize 2×1 − 6×2 subject to −x1 − x2 − x3 ≤ −2 2×1 − x2 + x3 ≤ 1 x1, x2, x3 ≥ 0 .

Use the following steps to solve the LP problem using excel.

2. Type the constraints and values in the excel table.

3. Open the solver from “Data” tab and type the constraints

Add constraints one by one using the “Add function”

Check mark the box for “Make unconstrained variables non-negative”
Select solving method as “Simplex LP”
