The issue of sexual harassment has been a problem that has started back from the past and today the amount of instances has increased quite a lot and even the corporates and the upper section of the society is also not an exception. We cannot state that there has been a change in the culture because there are instances of such incidents in the past but due to the society the harassed preferred not to protest and fight against the issue and yes the situation has changed and our society has grown up to handle such situations today which has allowed the harassed section to voice protest against anything that they experience.
Incidents like sexual harassment actually affects the total situation which includes the employees the organization and the society too and therefore in order to deal with such a situation the organizations have adopted a no tolerance policy against issues of these kind because they know the magnitude of the issue is very high and they need to deal with it diligently so that they can set an example. The Anti Sexual Harassment Initiative has been adopted by the organizations and a dedicated department for handling such issues are formed under the Human Resource Unit of the organization. The department is easily approachable and the style of working is very discrete so that no information is leaked from the department in order to save the interest of the employees. The employees should feel safe in such a setup because there is a convenient solution to their problems and they can actually fight against any harassment that they may have experienced. The society has also been very strict and do not accept such incidents because of obvious reasons, the society has to play a very important role so that individuals at least feel free to voice their protest.
