The authors of the textbook define Criminal Law as laws that “concern behavior so threatening that society outlaws it altogether.” Why is this poor definition of Criminal Law? Provide at least one or two examples to support your position?

Answer:
We humans are social animals. We are meant to live in societies and therefore, it is important to protect the interests of the society at large. Since, our societies give meaning to our lifes and we are inherent part of it; any behavior that does not suit the common interest of the society and people living therein is unacceptable. Therefore, the definition of Criminal Law is so vide to cover all those behaviors that are so treatrning that society outlaws it altogether. However, it may be noted here that every such behavior is tested on various fundamentals and circumstances before deciding it to be a punishiable event.
