What do you think are two the most important things for an organization to do to reduce turnover and increase retention?

Employees turnover,if increasing, can be a huge headache for companies since it is easier to fill the job position than to replace the employee you had before.
The two most important things that organisations should keep in mind to increase retention and reduce turnover are:
1. Make and keep the employees happy as happy employees are less likely to leave. Organisations can make them happy by paying them right, providing healthy and safe environment etc.
2. No employee would want to stick to a single position in a job where there is no window of opportunities for employees to grow and improve. Management can provide an environment that addresses this issue to ensure the employees stay with the same organization.
