Forward integration example is purchase of DirectTV by News Corporation. News corporation broadcast its news and direct tv is a satellite based TV company which broadcast these channels.Both DirectTv and News Corporation are in same side of supply-chain. In forward integration when it merges with one of its distributor.
Backward Integration- Starbucks which is acquiring its suppliers to streamline the supply chain, Amazon integrating with book publishers so that Amazon can sale the books published by its own publishers.
